To diagnose an issue, it is at times, necessary to connect via VNC.  To do so please follow this guide:

You do not have VNC Login credentials/they do not work and you have a KVM server.  If this is the case then follow this steps:

  1. Login to vpanel.hosterlabs.net
  2. Click on "Manage" on the selected virtual machine.
  3. Click on VNC
  4. Click on HTML 5 Console. Be sure to enable pop up windows for it to properly work.
  5. Login with normal credentials

PRO TIP: Writing on the VNC console is incredibly hard if you do not have the right keyboard settings. We for now, allow spanish and english (default) keyboard mapping. You can change that on the settings page at our control panel.

You do not have VNC Login credentials/they do not work and you have an OpenVZ Server. (Note: VNC Does not really exist on OpenVZ)

  1. Login at vpanel.hosterlabs.net
  2. Click on "manage" on the selected virtual machine
  3. Click on Serial Console
  4. Chose a time and create a session
  5. You will get a port, username, ip and password to login to the server. This is meant to be used as a recovery method, as there is no rescue mode for OpenVZ virtualizations.

VNC Connection as is, is not allowed on OpenVZ, but you can use this as an equivalent.

You want to reset your VNC Login Credentials.

  1. Go to  vpanel.hosterlabs.net
  2. Click on "Manage" on the desired virtual machine.
  3. Click on VNC Password
  4. Change your VNC Password.

  3. Click on VNC → You will be displayed an IP, Port and password to connect via VNC.

You do have VNC Login credentials and want to login to your KVM server with a VNC Program.

  1. Choose a VNC Program, here is a list of some free recomended VNC programs:
    1. TigerVNC and tou can check how to use it here
    2. TightVNC and you can check how to use it here

Please note,  that they lack some compatibility and there are better programs out there. But you would need to pay to use them. If you have any further doubts, do not hesitate to contact our support team.
